Dairy Queen - Castlegar

I was in Castlegar for work and decided to have a quick lunch at this restaurant. I was disappointed to find out that they were out of the turkey club sandwich. I ended up ordering the chicken bacon ranch sandwich instead. It was alright, but the sandwich was a bit messy and started falling apart after just a few bites.

We are consistently impressed by the long-time employees who work diligently and efficiently. Despite being fast food, the food is tasty and the ice cream is classic with some creative toppings. Additionally, they always come through with a personalized birthday cake that is a hit with everyone!

I hadn't had a burger at this restaurant in years. They used to have the best fast food burgers, but now they might be the worst. However, their ice cream is still excellent! Definitely don't skip the frozen treats.

I sat there and stared my burgers in the tray for good 5 minutes and there was only one other customer in the line. The employee still did not seem to recognize even if the kitchen staff and then owner? called them out. I finally had to tell them. Can you give me my burgers? No excuse. The creamsicle stuff for diving cone was 't as good as TV made it look kudos to the commercial guys.... but big minus to DQ:

It was my first time eating here since 94. Me and a friend ate here before catching The Wall at the Old Castle Theater. We both orderd the 1/4 pound Bacon Cheeseburger combo and it was worth the price. Gonna come back again!
