I would skip the Paco, not because it?s bad, but because it isn?t a great topping combo for a burger- you can barely taste the avocado and the jalepenos aren?t that flavorful, but the patty itself (and bun and classic burger toppings) are wonderful! If you have one or two people with you, split a plate of large fries! The rosemary isn?t super strong, but it?s well seasoned and super crispy. I think they?re the best fries I?ve
I got the Paco burger and sweet potato fries, they were delicious! Staff was super helpful and friendly! Definitely worth checking out.
Best burger in the area? Maybe..! Employees were nice and courteous. Burger was cooked to perfection (ordered medium rare) Flavor was GREAT! Fries were just good, but the rosemary and flaky salt elevated it a bit. All in all, definitely an immediate favorite in the area! Will be coming back!
Delicious food and a fun atmosphere! I had the Kenny J, and it was great! Perfectly sized and cooked. 100% would order again. Friends and I split some sweet potato fries and tots both great choices. Local craft beer was a real plus as well.
Al’s burgers is a must try when they find themselves in chapel hill, nc. it is located directly at the unc campus and a local favorite. we had lunch there and were very satisfied with the entire experience. they have covered/uncovered seats and they order at the main desk and they lead the food to their table. we had the paco burger (guacamole and jalapeños), the pimento cheese burger and the cheddar bacon burger. with a huge side of perpetrator pockets and folds. the burgers were excellent. we highly recommend Al’s if they are looking for a fast and easy lunch experience in the country tarheel.
