Bartaco - Chapel Hill

Their family taco packs are a joke. Paid $15 for duck and literally got a table spoon of cilantro and onions and they claim this pack feeds 2 people. What grown adult gets full with 2 mini tacos? And no other toppings? Just onions and cilantro? Don’t even get me started on the guac. $10 for less than a cup, but they claim it’s their LARGE and literally just taco shells as “chips.” The guac doesn’t even have onions, cilantro or tomatoes! Nothing special about it! As a Latina nothing angers me more than seeing white people start a business off cultures they know absolutely NOTHING ABOUT!! $40 on this is my regret for the month. Even the pieces of lime they gave us if a joke!

The outdoor dining area was great! The shrimp tacos were insanely spicy and there was no warning of that. Like so spicy I couldn't eat it after the first bite. My husband ate the rest. The fried fish taco was really good. The sweet tea was not good. It was mixed in house and was so strong/bitter, and barely sweet. The waiter was good and service was good. The guacamole and tortillas were good. Not sure that we would go back here.

Great concept of ordering and paying by phone. I like that your tab stays open and you add items throughout your visit. It's a great way to keep up with what you're spending (especially if you're a college student on a budget).Great service and staff, plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. The wait time was reasonable and the food was good. The street corn was not as flavorful as I had hoped but the chicken rice bowl and taco were both great. I also had the fresh pineapple and sweet tea carafe. I ordered churros to go, they were warm, fresh and delicious.

Damn, this place is great! Started off with the margaritas, which were fresh, tasty and strong all in one absolutely delicious. We also ordered the street corn and salsa/guacamole trio. The salsas were very tasty! The chips were served almost like tostada shells where you break them apart into something chip sized before dipping. While the apps and drinks were all great, the tacos trumped them all. The corn tortillas were warm and delicious, the flavors were strong and unique even the homemade hot sauces were amazing! There were some truly great vegetarian options for tacos as well, particularly the mushroom and falafel tacos. We had about 10 tacos to split between the two of us (anywhere between 3 5 per person is suggested) and each one was drastically different from the next, making us super excited to try the next one. The food is reasonably well priced too, ordering 10 tacos and apps came out to about $50 for two of us. Cannot recommend this place enough, we can't wait to come back!

The atmosphere of this place is very funny for a night outside. we have picked up what was very easy to do, they can order on their website and I was glad to see vegan items on the menu. the flowerpot was delicious! we tried a few pages as well as recommend the salsa verde! the only negatiw is the portions are very small, so if they are like us and are hungry (we came from the gym) they must order more than 1 thing!
