I ordered manicotti and it was good but I've had better. Wasn't extremely expensive and overall there were no real problems I just am a picky person about the atmosphere of restaurants.
Good pizza, penne amalfitana delicious with tons of garlic. Owners attentive, hilarious good natured. Prices good andattention given to my kids. Across from uncc perfect.
Being from Syracuse, it's hard to find good pizza in NC. I was delighted to find that Amalfi's pizza was just like I'm used to and will certainly be getting pizza from there often. The restaurant was clean and comfortable too.
I really miss this place.... I only lived in Kannapolis for a year before moving back to Jersey, but this was a place that my family visited 2-3 times a week. The owner Mike greeted and treated my family as if we were part of his own... And the food they made there was the best Italian food in the area... We visit every time we pass through... It's not often that people refer you somewhere, and it's as good as they claim... This is a place that I'd recommend to anyone that's looking for a good meal and service..
My advice: Smooz the owners their great food only tastes better if you like them and they like you!. A couple of different groups of my friends LOVE Amalfi's. They go there a lot. Until recently, I had never been. Now I am a FAN. It is what it is. It is a small, family owned Italian restaurant in a shopping strip that serves delicious, affordable, fresh cooked food. I have been with only a couple of friends and I have been as a part of larger groups. Food and service has been superb each meal. I have ordered straight from the menu (like the Fettuccine Alfredo and Pasta Prima Vera and I have started with a menu item and asked for a pasta switch AND no meat but add more veggies because I like the description of the sauce. Each came to me DELICIOUS! I did not notice much else on their menu but pizzas, pasta, calzones (I will try the calzones one day very soon. They look good! . Italian, that is. So, if that is not what you want there is no need for you to go there. Their house Chianti is good, too. I have had it each time I have been there. I think the whole key to really enjoying yourself is go inside, get comfortable, introduce yourself to Mike (the owner and expect to have a tasty meal. Mangi e goda di.
