Loving Hut - Charlotte

I ordered this place online and I had never heard of it before. When I go to pick it up, the location was very confusing. It is inside of a hotel right off the highway. I got the vegan shrimp alfredo and it was very good, but I don't think it was worth the $17 I paid for it.

After visiting other Loving Hut locations, I was so excited to know a Loving Hut was in Charlotte. I’ve visited the location multiple times unfortunately each time my order is wrong!!

I used to live in California and I had two Loving Huts within driving distance of me. I LOVED them. I've also been to Loving Hut in Portland Oregon, LOVED that one. I was so excited to see one near me again in NC but this location was meh. It's strange because it's in a hotel so you have to enter the hotel and follow signs. Due to the pandemic, there only take out/delivery so it was empty when I got there to pick up my order but it seemed abandoned. I could see people in the kitchen so I rang the bell on the counter....no one came. Five minutes later and after the pick up time noted on my online order I rang the small gong on the counter...no one came. So I paced back and forth until someone finally looked out the window and came to see what I needed. I waited there for another 7 minutes for my order. Normally I wouldn't mind this and I love supporting all vegan restaurants so I'll deal with a lot to do that but the food that we got was nothing to write home about. I won't go back again. We spent $40 on a takeout lunch (including tip) and it was oily and bland. Such a let down! Maybe it's better during non-pandemic times when there's more turn around and they're better staffed.

Great all vegan restaurant with large menu. Having vegan pizza pasta options made me give them 5 stars.

I'm so excited to have this place in my neighborhood! The summer rolls and buffalo drumsticks are really good, but the cha cha (battered shrimp) is amazing. I'm pretty sure this is my new go-to restaurant. Updated 12/2/19: I've started coming regularly, and I try a different item each time. I haven't been disappointed by anything. My favorite is still the shrimp, but the buffalo ranch chicken burger is up there. Everything has been fresh.
