This place needs some help, in all aspects. I realize with Covid that many places lost staff. The first night we went was a disaster. It took 30 minutes to get seated, then the waitress took our drink order, after at least 15+minutes of waiting at our table. More than once, it took over 20 minutes to get the drinks to our table. One time, we never even got the drinks we ordered. The waitress disappeared after we got our food. I stopped another waitress because it had been over 30 minutes and no waitress. We were informed that the waitress was MIA!!!! This was not only a shocker but a serious breakdown in customer service. Out of convenience we visited the next night to get dessert and drinks. Guess who waited on us? The waitress that ghosted us the night before. I was blown away that one, the management even let her back in the building and two, she had the nerve to even face us. The experience was different this night but honestly it is harder to mess up dessert. I would truly use caution in coming here as the experience can be horrible or nominal.
Not in a TGIF in years this was a pleasure. Menu is full of options to find something for everyone. I visited this restaurant during my son at the UNCC. It is a good choice for students (if you spray the meal plan! and their guests. They have a bar and tables in the bar area and regular seating. I would recommend this place. It's about a mile outside the UNCC campus.
Yesterday for the first time here. I love free days for decades. I have the Friday sampler for the start and a blue moon at the bar. the bartender was beautiful and polite and fast and eating was great. will be back soon
Food was good and hot but the portions where small even to me a person that does not eat very much. Drinks were good. Parking free and plentiful, wait staff was so cool and helpful, our large party was quickly accommodated. Clean environment. I have not been to Friday's in years but I will be going back soon...let's talk about the salmon...very flavorful...I didn't have to add anything to it, the smoked flavor was spot on and not to overwhelming. The broccoli was nicely flavored as well and do not leave without getting the mashed potatoes they are so good I think they made then with Jesus tears as a major ingredient.
Came for drinks around 9pm and got the $5 ?Friday-Rita? while my friend enjoyed a Long Island iced tea and of course two glasses of water. Service was not the best. We sat outside it was nice and warm out, lighting was perfect. The waiter made unnecessary jokes and teasing my friend for ordering light. Also, seemed to forget our order for more water and the ticket. My friend ate lightly and ordered a basket of Hand cut Fries that were seasoned with a salt and pepper mix that was pleasing to the palate. I ordered the Simply grilled Salmon with lemon-butter broccoli and Jasmine Rice. $25 not including tip. The Salmon a little dry but butter sauce with broccoli and rice made up for it. I ate every bite of it. The Margarita was average, a lot of ice and lemon, no lime. Although my first time visiting this location, not my first time dining with this franchise. Certainly will not be my last.
