The Akropolis Cafe - Charlotte

Used to go to this place a lot as a kid, went back again recently and it’s still as I remember, food tastes good and service is fantastic. I would suggest it to anyone.

We had item #10 (gero) and Greek salad. Food was cooked to perfection, served hot, with generous portions. The salad was fresh and season perfectly. We had great service and the wait time was minimal on a Friday at 5:45pm.

Charlotte staple! We have been coming here for 15 years and the food and service has always remained consistent. Get the number 14!Kid-friendliness: Free cookie with your meal, you just have to ask!

This place has character. The owner was kind. The food was good. I got the gyro plate. Damn good. Wish it was closer to where I live ?

HORRIBLE! The Manager was nasty and rude. I took in two handicapped ladies for lunch. They could not stand at the cash register and read the menu. I asked for a paper menu, and the manager said too bad they didn’t have one and my ladies would need to come and read the menu. The food was horrific! The spanakopita looked like pop tarts. The Greek salad dressing tasted like water and vinegar and the Gyro was some kind of meat I’ve never seen in my life! Terrible. Never again will I visit this restaurant! One napkin each and I actually had to go into the kitchen to get my own carry out boxes because one lady wanted to take her salad home and put thousand island dressing on it. Worst restaurant I have been in during my 40 years in Charlotte!
