Village Tavern Charlotte

There was no design available for beer. It's not very good on Saturday night. My husband wasn't satisfied. This happened before The Village Tavern with this restaurant.

The food wasn't as good as usual. My Cobb Salad was a simple mix of standard ingredients, part of a good Cobb is to keep the ingredients clear. Cocktails okay.

Second visit in a row that we have experienced a problem with food. Calamari was excellent, but my chicken Caesar salad was super slimy and chicken was a tad undercooked, took a bite and was done.

Ordering the 8 oz Filet Med Well proved challenging for the kitchen. Came out Med Rare. Sent back and not much improvement; sent back again and inside was ok, outside a bit charred. Good news was we were not charged for the entree. Hostess and our server (Hannah) were both excellent. Hannah was very attentive on a night when the restaurant was full and apologized profusely for the difficulty with the steak. Other entree, Cajun Seafood Linguine, was very tasty and the spinach salads were excellent! All things considered, an enjoyable evening!
