City Sons Bbq - Chicago

This is one the many Loop businesses that sadly did not make it through the pandemic. You can still see the old sign when you walk by. I wish I'd reviewed them while they were still open, because this place was great. The folks behind the counter were really nice. The kitchen was open to the dining room and the cooks were nice too. They had these great veggie strata muffins that were a hearty savory breakfast. Good coffee and the best biscotti in town. And situated right next to a major bus/train transfer point. I hope everyone who worked here lands on their feet and that they get to go on to open new businesses, because they really deserved to succeed.

Have ordered from here a few times now and it does not disappoint. The BBQ and sides are delicious. Not a huge fan of their slaw but the Mac and cheese is a must.

Best cornbread I've had in my life you could tell it was actually hand made! Also, everything looked amazing and was very nicely packaged you can tell these guys pay attention to the nice details. Would totally come back

Portions and prices were amazing! This has now become our household favorite BBQ place in the city. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich, sliced brisket sandwich, and mac and cheese. All the dishes were delicious! We will definetly be ordering from here again!

Very delicious BBQ that was full of flavor and very tender. Mac Cheese was so cheesy and tasty, for sure ordering it every time. Apple Pie has a nice touch of toffee to top off a wonderful meal. High quality BBQ at an affordable price.
