Aj's On The Creek - CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND

The food selection could use some improvement. Eggs without toast? The menu was a bit confusing.

David, our server, provided excellent service. All of our dishes were enjoyable, but the ribeye was not as tender as it should have been. The biggest disappointment was the raw oysters; they were quite small, which is unexpected for this time of year. On a positive note, the cocktails were expertly crafted.

We had Jan as our server, and she was fantastic! She was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Our meal was excellent, as always. One request: could you please bring back the oysters with champagne sauce? That was my man's favorite dish on the menu.

This was the first time visiting Chincoteague where AJ 's was open so I was so excited to go there, and it was worth the wait! It was fabulous on every level but never felt snobby. Everyone is made to feel welcome and the food is fabulous. We ate more than we should have but that 's what vacations are for. The reservation system was easy and our table was waiting. Wish I could go again next week, but next year to be sure.

Service excellent. Food tasty and very good. Oysters and scallops amazing. Fun casual place. A good asic variety of wine at a very reasonable markup. Had a nice Sancerre for a good price with our tuna and scallops
