Contribuisci feedbackWe sliced them up and shared the feast, and every sandwich was fantastic! I give it a perfect 10/10 and would definitely enjoy these as a post-beach meal again. In fact, having them right on the beach would be an epic experience!
We shared a BLT and "The Beast." The bacon in the BLT was thick and had a great texture. The lettuce and tomato were fresh, and the roll was soft and generously slathered with mayo—biting into it was pure satisfaction! "The Beast" came on a fresh sub roll, and we opted for roast beef, which was tasty and tender. It was topped with lettuce, Swiss cheese, bread-and-butter pickles, and house-made mayo. Without a doubt, this was one of the best roast beef subs I’ve ever had! We also ordered a side of coleslaw and potato salad, both made with a lot of care; I could easily buy them by the bowl! We were so pleased with our lunch that we later called in a take-out order for dinner, sharing an Italian hoagie and a grilled cheese. Biting into the hoagie was delightful. The cold cuts were tender, making it easy to enjoy the salami, capicolla, and mortadella, paired with provolone, tomatoes, pickled red onions, pepperoncini, roasted red peppers, lettuce, and red wine vinaigrette—all on a soft sub roll. It was an outstanding sandwich! The grilled cheese was a grown-up version, featuring asiago, gruyere, havarti, and fontina cheeses, with crispy dry-cured bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and tomatoes—quite indulgent! There are a few picnic tables in the back where you can enjoy your meal. I recommend calling in your order ahead of time so you won’t have to wait. If you pop in without calling, take some time to browse their pantry items; they have a wonderful variety of jams, pickles, sauces, snacks, beverages, sodas, and imported bottled beers. They even offer two taps of different beers that change regularly, and you can refill your growlers! In summary, the consistently fresh ingredients and genuine care that go into the food make for amazing sandwiches, and their pantry is stocked with quality products. Make sure to grab a few treats for your beach visit!
I tried the Italian hoagie, and it was fantastic! It featured delicious meats—Genoa salami, capicola, and mortadella—along with aged provolone cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onions, pepperoncini, and a drizzle of vinegar and oil. The bread was perfect and held up well without becoming mushy. My wife ordered the Grown-Up Grilled Cheese, which included a blend of asiago, gruyere, havarti, and fontina. It was incredibly flavorful, with all the cheeses melted together perfectly. This place definitely offers one of the best food options in town!
We came here 3 times during our trip to Chicoteague because we loved it so much. The Cubano is sooo yummy! The pickled red onions and spicy mustard make it phenomenal! I also got a lot of really cool snacks like the dried cherries, figs, and a space chocolate bar! I will miss this place and recommend it to anyone.
My husband is vegan and wanted to try this place. He had the vegan BLT and I had the pimento cheese BLT. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and the potato salad was amazing! We ate at the picnic table out back. They also stock gourmet, exotic products like kombucha, truffle sea salt potato chips, and crispy Inca corn. It's like a Whole Foods out in the countryside!
