Fiery Hen - Cincinnati

We waited for 30 minutes for a table we had reserved. Then we were told that the kitchen was not served, as they had more orders to finish. We had to go with an empty stomach after 45 minutes.

The food was delicious. The table tried the brisket sandwich, hot chicken pliers and a quarter chicken. Everything was very good. The fries that accompanied a few of them were just okay. The sister-in-law is great. The banana pudding would have been better with a few slices of this fruit in the pudding.

After reading Yelp reviews, I was spanned for bad service. When our party arrived, we sat immediately, although we were taken to a high table and we specifically had a low tip in the reservation, it was an option that was presented at the booking. Fortunately, there was a low table, although there was the first table inside the door that would have set 16 people for the three of us. Fortunately, it was not a bitter cold night and the open/close door was no problem. The table next to us was the same size and capacity, so the sound level. I asked for a Manhattan listed on the menu on the restaurant website. I was told they didn't have the ingredients to make a Manhattan and they just changed their drinks menu. Protip...If a bar does not have Bourbon, Bitter and Wermut all the time, it is not a real bar or it does not employ a trained bar alert. Since the concept of a Manhattan was strange for our server to be sure, I ordered a beer that could not be screwed. We also noticed that Messy chips listed online on the menu were replaced with Pommes. They were fine, but the sandwich entrees also come with fries as side our meals were a little hard on the fries. It felt like the menu 't had enough range and variety especially because we expected some items to be published on the menu on the website. I chose the Hot Chicken Sandwas/Knoxville Mild because it came with Slav, Pickle and Pimento cheese. I think my sand, which had 1 pickle chip, 3 shredders from Slav and a scant skim from Pimento cheese. The bread was too wide. Someone else got the offers that were extra big and a good value. When I return, I would only get offers, as the greenery was advertised with the sand that was so economical and hardly noticeable. Cincinnati seems to have a lot of chicken restaurants and FieryHen was ok, but nothing remarkable.

We made a reservation and still waited for our food for 50 minutes! And we actually never got our food because our group had to be somewhere and ended up leaving the restaurant so we wouldn’t be late. The server was rude and did not communicate with us at all why are food was taking so long. When I finally asked her after 40 minutes of waiting for our food, she said she would go check. Three minutes went by and she never came back to our table. Finally she came back with a water pitcher and left it on the table still not letting us know what was up with our food. She never refilled our drinks and was very dismissive to us. The lack of communication and rudeness from the staff made a very bad impression and my friends and I definitely won’t be visiting again. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My fiancé and I came down here tonight to try something new. We had heard the food was good. We arrived at 7:22pm and we had reserved seats for 7:30pm. We were seated immediately by a nice guy. The waitress came over shortly after to get our drink order and we ordered an appetizer. About 5-10 minutes went by before she came back to take our meal order. When we ordered, many things listed on the menu were unavailable. (Annoying but we understood) I ordered a quarter chicken , with corn bread and my fiancé ordered the wings and Mac and cheese. We placed our order at 7:38pm. The waitress hadn’t checked on us and we saw many orders coming out and many to go orders being delivered to the front. She finally checked on us at 8:30 saying that the chicken takes a while to cook. Hmmmm Finally at 8:45pm (still no food) we asked for the manager and asked him what really happened. He admitted that the kitchen is extremely backed up. That could have been told to us when we sat down at 7:22 and we could have made a decision to leave and go somewhere else. We left at 8:50 STILL NO FOOD! DO NOT eat here unless you have 2-3 hours to spare. TERRIBLE SERVICE !
