They were super friendly and accommodating, draft beer and wine is super reasonably priced, and great selection of bottles and cheeses! Sandwiches are super delicious as well. Amazing service, great prices, delicious sandwiches, tons of selection for beer and cider!
The store has decent amount of wine selections. Sometimes I get a sandwich from there as a quick meal. Service is always friendly. The location is convenient and nearby to my cousin's place. She likes this wine market as well.usually we spend 30 bucks for red wine. Good deal can be found during holiday seasons as well.
This dismal place not only cannot communicate but is pointlessly rude to customers. Leave aside the fact that they take forever to make an overpriced sandwich. I wanted the toasted, melted cheese roast beef sandwich with onions and chipotle mayo. All I said was that the last time I got it the roast beef, rare to start with, was for some reason cooked until well-done, and I didn't want that. Instead of giving me the sandwich I asked for, they gave me a cold roast beef sandwich with nothing--not even lettuce and tomato--and charged an absurd $17 for it. And blamed me for not understanding their supposed communication. There is an air of condescension and indifference in their treatment of customers which is truly disgusting. Please let this place go out of business and get replaced by something decent.
This is a really unique and cool beer, cheese, and wine market. I've known about this place for 7 years now but seldom get the chance to visit. Nonetheless, I love it here! I love their vast assortment and selection of craft beer and cheese! Truly a gem in New York City. I just so happened to be in the area this past weekend and so I decided to pay them a visit. Pre-covid times they were known to have a few indoor tables and seating available. Due to current restrictions, they didn't have any seating set up, however, they said that it would soon become available in the coming weeks! I picked up some cool craft beer while here.. mind you, I'm not a beer drinker whatsoever, but when it comes to their selection, I just can't resist taking some to-go. I went with this brand that had an array of fun flavors- cans with 4.5% abv and a taller can with 8% abv, flavored with cherry and elderberry.. it was a delight! I also went with a selection of 3 cheeses and 3 meats, which I took to go. I'd definitely recommend checking them out if you're in the area and on your way home... or wait a bit until you can enjoy sitting inside once seating opens up again. A cool spot in Hell's Kitchen worth the trip!
I had been searching one recent afternoon for a place to eat and nothing appealed to me. I past the Vinter Cafe and remembered, after looking over the sandwich menu, that I had had an excellent French Dip sandwich there awhile ago. I went in and was taken care of immediately. I ordered my sandwich and realized that there were a full selection of beers in refrigerated cases and you were able to customize a six pack if you so desired. There was also an case where you could purchase nuts, dried apricots, etc. packaged in small plastic containers. I was told to sit at a table and they would bring my sandwich to me. I also got a bottle of Poland Spring to go with my sandwich. The sandwich arrived on toasted Italian bread with melted mozzarella cheese and roast beet with a vat of au jus to dip. It was an excellent sandwich as I remembered it. The staff was accommodative and attentive and the price reasonable for inflation. I would recommend and return.
