The lines are long and slow here too, with many customers crowding around the machines, taking phone calls, and placing bets for their friends without any regard for the long line behind them. The staff does nothing to address this behavior. Before COVID, there were six kiosks, but there were always 2-4 out of order. Now, due to concerns about the virus, they’ve reduced the number to four kiosks, with 1-3 often down for maintenance. Yet, the staff still doesn't enforce a limit on the people hoarding around the machines. One simple solution could have been to distribute the kiosks on either side of the room to maximize usage while still adhering to COVID safety guidelines. I've been waiting in line the entire time while writing this. I just hope I can place a bet soon.
Great place. Been coming for years but there is a guy who walks around every day stealing tickets and they don't do nothing about it. Security at front is aggressive and act weird.
The staffing levels for sports betting are insufficient, and they really need to improve their efficiency. The worst part is the average wait time, which is around 45 to 60 minutes. Be aware that management has been allowing their friends to cut in line, particularly when the betting parlor is closed. I've seen a female manager reopen the betting parlor just for her friend to place bets, only to close it right after. It’s incredibly unfair to everyone else who has been waiting in line for so long. This practice of favoritism by those two female managers is unacceptable. Additionally, the betting room needs major upgrades—larger TVs, bigger odds displays, and significantly more kiosks.
**Pros:** The location is convenient with ample parking available. The staff is friendly and welcoming. **Cons:** However, the wait times are frustrating. This location seems to be understaffed, leading to an average wait of one hour just to place a sports bet. The area for horse betting typically has no line at all. To improve the situation, they should consider allowing sports bets to be placed on both sides of the sportsbook to reduce the wait times. Often, the lines are so long they extend outside the door. It's a great place for betting, but be prepared for a significant wait.
I've been going to this place for years, since before legal sports gambling in the area was even a thought. This is the closest place to Louisville that you can place a legal sports wager, but if you go be prepared to wait 45 minutes to an hour in line at a minimum unless you go at odd times. Everything you can bet on is not properly displayed, which leads to bettors taking much longer than they should at the windows. The tellers also seem to move super slow and have no sense of urgency. I've also noticed a few people walking around in regular clothes that appear to be managers. They seem to have no concern about the super long wait times and do not chip in to help the tellers. It just seems like some self-service kiosks and a little bit of organization would solve a lot of this place's problems.
