Tavolo - Cloverdale

Had dinner at Tavolo last night after doing some late night shopping with my boyfriend. The interior is neat and nice. The first thing I noticed as I walked by tables was how good all the food looked  the pizzas looked authentic and delicious, the pasta and salads fresh. I was impressed with the menu Tavolo doesn 't do the boring old trope of the same dishes 'Italian ' restaurants in Perth have been doing for a million years. There were more authentic and interesting choices to choose from. We were served promptly and had our drinks brought to us briskly. Our waitress was attentive and sweet without being overbearing.We got the arancini balls to share for an entrée and they were great crunchy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside with melted cheese oozing out. My boyfriend got the wagyu bolognaise for his main and I got the mushroom ristotto. Both were very nice. I am a stickler about risotto so I was pleased mine was tasty and had the right texture. The reason why I only gave 4 out of 5 was the restaurant 's acoustics were a little loud without anything to absorb the clanging of cutlery and people 's voices so it was a little hard to hear, but that is my only criticism. I will be back!

We decided to try tavolo for the 1st time since we were going for a movie.we ordered a medium rare scotch fillet with mushroom cheese fondue And crab n squid ink papadella. A good quality steak was perfectly cooked to my liking.i really enjoyed the red wine jus, it was sticky with heaps of mushroom and the cheese fondue wasnt too rich.the pasta was a success! homemade pasta with great seafood bisque nap sauce. Good service,Great atmosphere,good pricing, generous servings and everything on the plate was fresh. only 1 thing i can fault was the toasted brioche that came with my steak it was cooked well i just didnt think it ties well with my steak. I will definitely come back and try the pizza n desserts.

The staff is great here! I’ve been here a few times, even on a busy night they were very alternative and seated us as soon as they could. The food is okay, the pizza’s are nice but my favourite dish here would be the gnocchi,it’s really good! The seared scallops are nice, we wish we ordered more since the portion was pretty small for 3 people

Actual wood fire pizzas! Great crusts and just right with the toppings. The Calabrese is a favourite now, as well as the croquettes. Really great service and good choice of wines and other drinks.

The food was quite nice however I felt it didn’t really have a good value for money. The pizza I tired wasn’t the best Ive tasted but it definitely is fresh and crispy
