I would recommend this place to my friends and family. if you want to visit coldsprings or beacon ny, round up is a must to stop for a tasty eating by I personally very satisfied! I would definitely return.
The place may not be the greatest to look at but HOLY COW! Literally. The Ribs and the Brisket fell from above. They are moist and succulent, with or without barbecue sauce. Tried them both and they rock. Hats off to the place. I'm from the Bronx and will travel for this for sure! OFTEN!
Someone below wrote Texas has nothing to worry about with this place' and boy, that's the truth. It's not very good and despite its humble' roadside presentation and surroundings, it ain't cheap by any stretch.I'm sad to report that Round Up was a big disappointment. The sides I sampled were mac and cheese and potato salad. In a good barbecue spot, potato salad is something more than mustard and mayonnaise on undercooked potatoes. Mac and cheese is something more than supermarket ziti in Velveeta. No more, no less. Bottom line is- there's no one here who really knows how to cook. The most disappointing meat on the menu is the sausage which in most barbecue spots is the highlight of my trip. Here, they're literally serving ShopRite Hot Italian sausage that someone tossed into the smoker. Huge disappointment. To their credit, they do know how to render ribs and brisket to the point of falling apart without drying it out , however if the taste of your smoke isn't particularly good, it's just expensive gooey meat.I paid almost 40 bucks for a three meat combo with two sides and they have the nerve to add 3% because you use a credit card. Because at $37 they didn't make enough money to cover the cost of doing business with supermarket grade ingredients? Find another spot, you'll be glad you did.
Good bbq with some vegetarian options. Outdoor seating available.
Hands down the best Texas-style BBQ in the entire tristate area. Yes, I said it. Looks like nothing from the road, but don't be fooled super authentic smoked meats, all the traditional comfort food sides, and tangy barbecue sauce. Worth the trip from anywhere!
