Riverhouse Restaurant - Coldwater

This place is nicely accessible by boat on the Trent system . There is a newer, easy to access dock right beside the place. They have a nice deck and cozy, wood-walled bar room. We chose the deck and had a couple of reuben sandwiches and fried pickles. Decent prices too. This is family owned and they show pride in their work and food.

This is a small family owned restaurant on the water. Your waitress, Mary, and the cook, Ed, are the owners. They serve up a nice menu of comfort food at reasonable prices. You cannot beat the view as it is on the water.

We enjoyed 2 meals at the Riverhouse Restaurent during a recent vacation in the area. Both the kids and the adults enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Everyone loved the fresh cut fries!

We had a nice meal on the Trent system heading north from Lake Couch towards Midland. Good docks to park at while eating and other things to do while waiting for a table (LCBO and Ice cream shop, grocer). From what I understand, easy to drive to also. They were as friendly as they could be as it seemed family oriented, small amount of staff and most likely overwhelmed with cottagers locals and boaters. Cold Creemore beer went down well as well as the specials of the day,.... Beef Burrito with fries or onion rings (the rings were good , fries meh) condiments of sour cream and quacamole, and the other special crab cakes with fries, both were good,.......... the burrito big enough to take home half. Others at the table enjoyed the fish and chips. It would be nice to have more space on the patio to see passing boats as the deck was long and close to the building, so, you may have to fight to get a spot with a view near the water. Not a massive menu but if there are specials every day, then you will always find something to eat. The prices very reasonable and the food tasted fresh. I would definitely stop here again to eat.

Accommodating kitchen and wait staff, very friendly and welcoming. Pub style food with summery salads. Very enjoyable
