Who plages hunger and thirst in the Cologne Flora, the Botanical Garden, finds remedy in a picnic. No picnic on the meadow, but on the side terrace of the main building of the flora. Thanks to Augusta , a garden place that is open only in beautiful weather, small dishes, cakes and ice cream. Several parasols span on the terrace differently designed seating groups on gray metal tables. If you want to settle for a picnic here, you get to a kiosk, Büdchen says the Rhineland, the dishes and drinks of his choice. A picnic bag is then packed at the bush, food, drinks, cutlery – all in! The dishes are partially packed after the order, others are available in glasses. Pay and then get to one of the tables! August 3 was a hot day in Cologne, over 30 degrees. Hüngerchen and Durst reported on the tour of the flora. So this celiac picnic variant was tested: – a couscoussalat at 4,90 €, – a piece of meat cheese at 3,90 €, – once goulash with rolls at 7,90 € and twice mineral water at 2,60 € each. The couscoussalate was sprinkled with mint and vegetables (including paprika, broccoli) and tasted with curry. At the meat cheese, served hot in an aluminum dish, there was nothing to taste. Soft, well-cooked meat characterized the goulash, which was accompanied by a potato bunny. Pikant was the Gulasch, but not sharp. All in all, a delicious picnic that drives the chicken. Thanks to Augusta, it is recommended to rest in the flora.
