Red Lobster - Concord

Our waiter was amazing, the service was prompt, and everything was excellent. I would have given them 5 stars, but when I asked for fried scallops, my expectations weren't quite met.

I ordered the Salmon New Orleans for my entree, which came with a delicious sauce and succulent shrimp on top of the salmon. This time, I went for broccoli as my healthy side and mashed potatoes for something indulgent. Overall, the meal was really satisfying, though I did notice the portion sizes seem to be shrinking a bit. As always, the cheddar biscuits were wonderful. My husband had the same dish but opted for double mashed potatoes. For our appetizer, we tried the seafood stuffed mushrooms, which came with six—three for each of us. They were so good, packed with cheesy goodness and crab stuffing, that we devoured them before we even had a chance to take a picture!

Today, Saturday, June 18th, 2022, we arrived again at 9:50 PM. There was a man at the front desk who was looking for something, and he called over another employee to assist us. The second employee told us they were closed. I politely explained that we were there before 10 PM and mentioned that Google indicated they closed at 11 PM. I asked if there was anything he could do, such as speaking with the kitchen manager, but he simply repeated that they were closed. This team needs to improve their service quality and apply some common sense. If they want to close at 10 PM, they should update their Google listing to reflect that and close the restaurant only after attending to the last customer. After thanking the staff member, we chose to go to Texas Roadhouse, which was just a mile away. They showed on Google that they closed at 11 PM, and when we arrived at 10:10 PM, they welcomed us with smiles and gave us a table. We ended up enjoying a lovely dinner, despite the disappointing experience at Red Lobster. Everything is possible with a little flexibility.

Our server, Justin, was very sweet attentive. The food was brought out piping hot. The Walt's fried shrimp was delicious but the shrimp scampi was bland. I ordered the pina coloda drink it took forever to come out. Once I got it, it was watered down almost pretty flavorless. I usually enjoy that drink but it wasn't good this time. The vent in the women's bathroom had rust spots mold around the whole rim which was pretty gross.

Keona is amazing! I miss the old Red Lobster crew from a few years ago; they knew my order, my seat, my drinks, and more. But Keona is still part of the team, and I love that!
