Palermo's Famliy Italian Greek Conover, Nc

We were in town for our daughters soccer game and wanted to grab a meal after. Stumbled across Palermo’s and were blown away. Excellent home made Italian food. And one of the best pieces of cake (chocolate peanut butter) that I’ve ever had. Service was perfect she recommended dishes that we never would have chosen and they were money. Would def go again.Kid friendliness: Huge menu. All of it delicious.

Bruschetta was made on a sub roll. Not sliced and toasted Italian bread. Came out soggy. Only the end pieces were edible. Alfredo sauce was bland and watery. Chicken tasted old. Not even close to authentic Italian meal. They did comp part of our meal. Waitress was rude when I told her how bad it was. She made the statement that everyone makes things differently as she walked away. Nobody should make brushetta on a sub roll.

We are out antiquing and came across Palermo's and decided to stop for lunch. We had the grilled chicken grinder and the New York stromboli, they were both fabulous. Andrea our server was very attentive and quick with food and drinks. Will go there again!!!

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after 5. We are a family of 4. We were promptly seated and our drink order was taken. The server promptly brought us some garlic butter bites while we were reviewing the menu. My husband ordered a lamb gyro, I the chicken parm, one kid got chicken alfredo, and the other kid got cheese pizza. Our food came out quickly and piping hot. My husband's gyro was so big he couldn't eat his side. My chicken parm was flavorful and so yummy (I took half home). The kids meals were equally delicious. We got a piece of cake to share. We thought it was pineapple but one bite told us it was lemon. No problem, it was immediately replaced.We had the chance to chat with the owner afterwards and shared how great our experience was. We'll definitely be back.
