Hello, I wanted to share my experience at Shipwrights. When I first arrived, I noticed a man smoking right at the entrance, which made me feel uneasy. As time passed, I realized that he didn't seem to like me, which is okay as not everyone has to. I am 58 years old and insulin-dependent, so I am cautious about what I consume. I typically enjoy John Smith's beer and have a few pints a week. I appreciate the efficient and friendly staff at the bar, as well as the regular clientele. I am puzzled as to why Robert decided to ban me from the premises. I have been a patron in Whitehaven since 1983 and have never had any issues, even as a member of the Whitehaven rugby league supporters club for over 30 years.
I visited a charming neighborhood pub to play some darts. The beer was excellent and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Rude staff have absolutely no clue about licensing laws, can't serve someone a simple lemonade and needs to ask the owner for permission,
Good to see a proper pub still standing dispite being next to a massive Wetherspoons. Feels like a true freehold even though owned by managed pub company, I visit Whitehaven multiple times a year and alway stop for couple pints. Pool table and dart board always good sign, staff and regulars see welcoming enough
