The burgers are thick, juicy and cooked perfectly to order. The management was extremely accomodating. We went on a baseball playoff night and although most of the customers were into college football, the manager switched one of the televisions to baseball at my party's request
Popped in for a drink and ended up staying all evening. What a great bar and good food too. Well worth a visit.
We travelled to the area from various parts of the country to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday Our booking was for 13 people On arrival greeted and seated. Only 2 other people in restaurant After ordering our meals we were then told this wasn’t available ,only some can have this can you change your meal etc. Although not happy we did After a wait of approximately a further 45 mins our starters arrived I ordered sizzling garlic prawns. Other than they were not sizzling nor had garlic the virtually raw prawns were edible Now to the main course OMG children could have served us better. 2 meals came out approximately 2 hrs after we sat down. A further meal came out some 25 minutes after that. This is how the meal continued. Wrong food wrongly cooked it was a shambles The chips were obtained from the neighbouring kebab shop as my son saw staff walking in with a bag of frozen chips To top it all my 82 year old uncle who is very weak on his legs struggled to go downstairs to the toilet with the help of my brother They tried to use the disabled lift to get back up but it wouldn’t work. They were then made out by a staff member to be stupid for not being able to use the lift Suffice to say after this 13 of us got up and left after being told we didn’t have to pay A warning to anyone thinking of eating here DONT It is a disgrace The food very poor The deputy manager was apologetic but that doesn’t help make right what should have been a special occasion
We were greeted pleasantly by the staff, good start. We ordered drinks which came and we sat and chatted having ordered our meal. We are vegetarians!!! We ordered vegetable Wellington as our mains to be told shortly after that they, infact, only had one left it was 7.10pm so not late?? We were offered bri and asparagus souffle, not on the menu, instead?? The starters arrived, beautifully presented and tasted good too. Great start, then the main courses arrived approximately an hour later...the Wellington looked as though it had come out the deep freeze the potatoes tasted as though they had come out of a tin that had been coated in cream and passed off as being dauphinoise and the colcannon mash is supposed to have cream and cabbage in of which both were missing. On each plate was a stuffed cabbage leaf..it had bacon in the stuffing!!! The restaurant claims to be vegetarian and vegan friendly and I think I've already mentioned, we're vegetarian!!! We were stunned to say the least, what was even more surprising was that the waitress didn't seem to understand why it was an issue and the manager said that if she had known we were vegetarian... she followed this with telling us that the souffle had cheese and eggs in?? Demonstrating that she clearly didn't understand the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan. She then offered to remove the cabbage parcel from our plates, not really knowing how to deal with the situation. So having conceded that we had nowhere else to go as it was now 9.05pm so they agreed for us not to pay for our mains. Will not be rushing back any time soon.
Booked a meal with friends for 7pm. Drinks and starter were fine. Vegetarian main meals ordered, came but they came with a cabbage parcel which included bacon. Really disappointed as we have been previously and really enjoyed it.
