The Springboard - Cork

Fabulous restaurant on the banks of the River Lee. After entering the Hotel, you walk into 5 star luxury. Had a drink in the bar prior to our meal the bar staff were lovely welcoming with a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. The Menu in Springboard Restaurant had a array of locally sourced food with our choice being O Cornell's dry aged Angus. Staff in the Restaurant were exceptionally professional friendly in particular Irene who looked after us with her warm wonderful charm. We will certainly return in the very near future… Martin Ruth

Have been staying in this hotel over the years and have to say the food has always been exceptional. Flavoursome visually appealing and top class. Have not been disappointed yet. IRENE our server (on several occasions) has always been warm personable and knowledgeable about the menu. The setting and views have to be some of Corks best. Who needs to converse when (if the time is right) ypu can just sit and stare out the vast windows and explore some of Cork while you're enjoying your beautiful meal. (This view comes into its own at an early breakfast ..you won't want to leave the breakfast area)

Really impressed by the quality of both the food and service. We went for dinner midweek with my parents, who were staying in the hotel. The dinner menu was great, and had lots of variety to accommodate both traditional and more adventurous tastes. For starters we had the crab croquettes and monkfish scampi. For mains we had the braised ribs, fish chips, and monkfish risotto. All were excellent. Irene who served us was wonderful. It was my Mam's birthday, though we didn't mention it to the restaurant. Irene overheard us and unbeknownst to any of us, arranged for a birthday dessert plate to be brought out after dinner! The restaurant manager took the time to come over and chat with my parents afterwards. In so many places, you can feel like you're being rushed out the door, so they really appreciated the personal touch. We left feeling very well taken care of. Overall, definitely recommended for a nice meal out.

The best risotto ever, wonderful surroundings and service. We were here before and we will be back. Unfortunately we didn’t have space for dessert so we have to come back .

First time back since the lockdown. We couldn't wait to come back and have a family night out. Served by our favorite waitress Irene and some of her amazing colleagues. We had 2 courses each, a few drinks and 3 courses for our boy. Ll the dishes were delicious and fresh as usual. Great service and atmosphere. And covid19 restrictions were implemented threw out. If you're in cork it's a must go to stop! Add a night away at the hotel to really relax and enjoy the spa
