Pyre Provisions - Covington

I booked a dinner for two about a week and a half in advance. When we arrived, we were seated at a table that was patio furniture pulled from outside and placed in an area where there was room. The couple seated next to us told us they had requested to be moved from the table we were seated at because it was uncomfortable and kind of awkward being in the walkway for the serving staff. When we requested to be moved, we were informed all the tables were booked up, even though when we arrived most of the tables were empty. We chose to stay and ordered food, which was good. I had the filet and added some cauliflower and my wife had the swordfish and added some rosti. We also had some drinks and dessert. We recommend the smoked honey drink. When we finished some of the tables were still empty and we were both pretty annoyed with that considering our bill was about after the tip. This is the second time we've been here and we like the food but the first time the service was slow and this time we got relegated to patio furniture. Maybe if you sit at the bar or if it's not busy it'll be good, but it will likely be awhile again before we give them another shot especially considering the price point

From the Hostess, to the wait staff, and the owner... everyone was hospitable and the food was AMAZING!!! We had one small issue that they recovered immediately. The way one handles an issue speaks volumes and they went above and beyond. We will be regulars at our new favorite gem

Fun place with good food and interesting menu! Definitely not the place for an intimate dinner for two, but nice for a group of friends

We had the Wild Mushroom Gnudi that was to die for. An amazing roast beef po boy and a bbq pork sandwich. Just about everything here is hand made by the chefs, including chips and pickles, and was worth every penny
