Northwoods Hearty Home Cookin' & Saloon

Northwoods has experienced an evolution of what the locals can remember. in front of covid northwoods was, in my opinion, mainly a family restaurant. but because of the changing times and the need to stay relevant today in the world, northwoods has developed to northwoods saloon simply said bar and grill. the same amazing menu, minus some of the larger entrees. larger beer menu, more appetizers, more sandwich style meals. more weekly specials. the supplement of the new terrace. and the best for last, corn-rib sandwiches every Tuesday.

6/28/22 I brought my man to eat in the facility. the waitress I learned later was that the chief woman fought here from the beginning to the end of my experience. we waited 10 minutes for the service with only 2 other customers in the building. may I drink them something she asks? I'll take it after I get you a drink. Ma’am I don’t know what they have, I should have known, then it was not a pleasant experience 1. I can have limonade without ice, I have a glass full of ice and very little limonade. my man got half a glass root beer her explanation was what happens when the foam settles. we order both the same meal walleye fish with fries and cornbread for me. coleslaw and baked mais for my man. $19 a meal. she seemed really confused and my man said watch that she messed up. the fish of my man was burned and I didn't get a fish just my side. the weather has not complained to us, we asked if we have to go packages that lasted an additional 15 minutes. Finally, she insisted that we had already paid a bill and we had not paid so that I only paid cash to make it known that I would never come back there again.

It was great, especially in the outside seats, until I came home and saw the Walleye dinner, we got a teeny cup of tartaric acid and about 6 pommes. 18 bucks?

We have come for some time and have always enjoyed the atmosphere. they have just built a terrace for beautiful evenings of eating. we have eaten, the server, enjoyed the conversation.

This is now my 2nd time I ordered chicken strips and this is how they were both times. Waaaaaaay over cooked and burnt. $15 for this and soggy fries. Go somewhere else. Horrible!!
