Shell - Cross Plains

Ok, bathrooms are small so the ladies room had a line going.

Stopped to get gas and use the bathrooms!!! But all bathrooms NOT Working???? Wish we would not have started filling up for gas. Go across the highway to the other gas station. They were awesome!

While we were there, we decided to grab some snacks. The selection was impressive, featuring a variety of souvenirs, treats, and candies, particularly some intriguing local brands. We enjoyed browsing through the merchandise. The cashier was friendly and engaging, making us feel welcome with some lighthearted banter. We also picked up some fried chicken and okra from the deli counter. The chicken was plump, juicy, and tender, but unfortunately, the fried okra was a bit soggy — I prefer it crispy. However, it met the expectations for fried okra at a gas station eatery. My husband didn’t mind, as he devoured it all!

I had to wait in line for gas because some people parked their cars at the fuel pump while they went inside to purchase fireworks. Additionally, the women's restroom floor was in need of a thorough cleaning, as there was urine on the floor in one of the stalls.

I wasn't impressed with this restaurant. There was no hot food available, not even any Charlie Biggs Chicken. I ended up leaving without making a purchase because I was looking for something warm to eat. All they offered were candy and chips.
