Sprig - Decatur

Food is always delicious and appreciate the amazing bourbon selection. But it’s the amazing staff that always shines…friendly, helpful and always amazing!

Sprig is a known neighborhood gem. Food is typical southern fare, very flavorful. Deserts are baked by one of the staff. And everyone in the staff I s so friendly!

The service was sporadic. The appetizer came out before the cocktails we had ordered. And then we had to wait a while for them to be delivered. The wings were terrific! But the burger was horrible! We ordered it cooked medium rare and it came well done on the circumference and totally raw in the center! And it had no flavor, the tomato was a mere sliver with no tomato flavor or color, the lettuce was a single wilted leaf! The second cocktail had no discernible vodka in it and the server said she couldn’t do anything to correct it. This restaurant had become our favorite new place, dining 2-3 times in a week! We had become accustomed to outstanding service and quality of dishes. Tonight was a huge disappointment and we probably will not return.

Had a reservation. 1/2 of party arrived early. I asked for outside seating as it’s first come first served. The refused to seat us until full party was there. Then gave the large table outside to walk in group . Then said we gad to sit inside as no tables outside . I asked them to put 2 tables together. No they said. I asked a few more questions. Manager came out and after discussion said they ‘d seat us outside. Been there twice in 2 weeks. Young man at front terrible and surly. Discounts everything customer saysHave been going there for years Not sure I’ll return anytime soon. Was embarrassed- this has been my go to place for out of town guests spent $250 waiter fabulous.

I wasn't all that impressed with the menu selections and the food. I think Sprig's food used to be better.
