Had heard of this restaurant from Top Chef previously so we really wanted to try it. The service at the bar was good. The bartender was attentive. It took a bit to get our meals but the kitchen was busy. I had the bouillabaisse with different fish and scallops and it was worth the wait. This restaurant is worth a stop if you are going to spend some time in Denali. I recommend making a reservation if possible.
Amazing. We were recommended to go here by our host in Fairbanks but did not have much expectations. Although we couldn’t get in for dinner we had a fantastic brunch. chef Lauren Cole made the most delicious mushroom toast, eggs Benedict and fresh Alaska blueberry pancakes. The staff were kind, interesting and shared the background of this Alaska gem
Our tour group had lunch here, I’m not sure if the restaurant is open to the public or not…call to verify before visiting. Owned by Top Chef Alumni, Laura Cole (she was working as a Private Chef the day we visited), her Sous Chef made our meals. My husband said his halibut was the best he’d EVER eaten before. I had a steak sandwich, which was average. The pasta and iced tea was very good.
A year ago I said this was the Best Restaurant in Alaska but it was so disappointing this time. We drove all the way from Anchorage for the meal and both the service and the meal were unsatisfctory. The chef was not accommodating at all and the experience was not what we expected.
Excellent, quality dinner! Make a reservation far in advance we made a reservation many weeks in advance and only time available was 5:30 during one of our 3 nights. It is a real dining experience, so plan to spend a few hours there. Well worth it!
