Chungs - Donabate

My 3rd time to eat here, and would rather have never returned after the first time (these last 2 times were groups, where I had no choice in the venue). The food is terrible (despite being very hungry, I gave up after 4 mouthfuls) and the service is appalling. Hands-down the most rude, obnoxious waitress I've ever come across . I wouldn't eat here if you A) Have tastebuds B) Don't want to be treated like dirt as a paying customer.

Great place, I've had several parties, meals here never disappointed. Shirley, Aileen, Jack team do a great job looking after you. The food is so fresh and tasty. Great family friendly restaurant.

Ive been touring round the country in a caravan for a good few years now and eating a chicken curry in each chinese I could find to see if I can find the best one... Chungs takes the title !!!! so far anyways,,,, The curry sauce is not the usual 'yellow ' mild fare, this stuff is a bit darker and full of curry spice and flavour and a nice bit of heat there too and lots of chicken onions and peas,,,, perfect..... delivered to the local caravan park and a friendly lady even called to say driver would be with us in 2 minutes. Great service, decent price and a beautiful curry that currently wears the crown lol!!

We were there for a family birthday, the food was very good but the service was awful. We were in an upstairs private room which was very cold, we had to ask twice for the heat to be turned on. The waitress took our orders and starters arrived about 20 minutes later. After our dishes were collected a waiter arrived and asked us to confirm our main course orders, as the waitress had forgotten to write some of them down. We were then waiting about 40 minutes for the mains to be brought up, when they did arrive they were piping hot and very enjoyable. On the whole I would say that although the food was good the level of service makes me not want to rush back.

I’ve been here several times , hoping the service would get better , the food is average but five star price , they don’t take criticism well if you order delivery and would t believe me that the my got an order wrong ,
