The food portions in the Windsor are very big so you get great value for money. Their desserts are also to die for.. especially the sticky toffee or apple crumble. Staff are very friendly and atmosphere is continuously welcoming! Best restaurant&pub in Louth.
Atmosphere nice . Staff nice but fish and chips were very disappointing. Fish appeared to be of the frozen and straight from the packet variety. Both the fish and the skinny chips were tasteless. The apple crumble was lovely
Arrived at the bar in question, got a pint, in the bar down stairs as usual, went upstairs at 6 when it opened to be greeted by a girl called martina to be told that we are full up and you can sit by the toilets, i said back I will wait for my usual seat, I got my usual seat after sitting my ground, if this premise don’t want single customers maybe put a sign up saying so, young staff should be trained better ,as they were smiling at me like I was stupid. And I will also say the bar staff down stairs were 5 stars but it’s connected so I won’t be back, as my mum said to me she would never step foot in there again after your father died.
Visited with family on the 16th March for my sons 18th birthday and belated birthday for my 21 year old daughter. The staff were so professional, polite and friendly and very helpful. The food? OMG! We had two head chefs at our table and along with us they thought the food was amazing. The best quality local ingredients and cooked to perfection. All the food that was brought out was piping hot and on hot plates. The starters were absolutely to die for. Would highly highly recommend we will definitely be back and very reasonably priced.
What a delightfully friendly place. It was our first visit to meet a cousin from Clogherhead for a light lunch. The staff are mega friendly and as we sank into very comfortable seats we were invited to order a drink. I’m afraid they won’t get rich on us one cappuccino and a Diet Coke. Cousin arrived and while we live only 40 miles apart our accents are entirely different as if we were from different continents. His is a brogue while ours is posh North Down even though we’re South Down. The worst accent on earth has to be Belfast. It’s like scraping yer nails on a school blackboard. Anyway the food was really good and fair priced. I had a scrummy tagliatelle pasta with vegetables. I could have added chicken and bacon but why spoil a good thing. My wife had a classic burger with 2 full flavour, well seasoned fresh beef patties (Mc D it ain’t) on seeded sourdough with all the fixings, chunky fries and barbecue mayo. Cousin had dish of the day a salmon en croute not my bag but he enjoyed his food too. We all ended our catch up with more cappuccinos and went our separate ways. He stayed in Europe and we didn’t.
