Do support excellent local businesses like this through the difficult times ahead. But once your inside it’s a different and altogether pleasing experience. The service is light and friendly. The mimosa rolls were good, perhaps a 3.5? But our 2 mains were simply lovely. The duck and the barramundi. Delicious clean and fresh flavours which refused to overwhelm the hero ingredients, but lifted them to another level. Really this is lovely cooking. And definitely a cut above the majority of the so-so asian outlets in EVP. <br/ <br/ Good luck mimosa. I hope you survive. You deserve to.
Ts place is a hidden gem! Food was amazing, very authentic and fresh. The chef obviously takes a lot of pride in her work and will come out and greet her customers. The location is slightly hidden but the presentation inside is warm, comfy and has a great ambience. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We were strolling past and decided to stop in for lunch. Welcoming host and delicious fresh food. Loved the spring rolls which are made in house best I’ve ever eaten. Lots of similar Vietnamese options on the strip, but our new favorite. We will definitely be back!
We went there for lunch in a group of 3 families, 7 kids between us and the staff were very friendly and patient whilst we got ourselves organised. Their recommendations were good and practical and even offered to get us sauce without chili for the kids. Food was beautifully plated and most importantly yum! Couldn't vault anything! Unfortunately I didn't manage to take photos of everyone's meals but everyone was happy with their choices!
We ate at Mimosa Kitchen again tonight and am glad that our memory of our first meal were correct. The atmosphere is lovely with subtle hints of the orient as well as coffee bags showing that it is also a café, Jess and husband Blake are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome our first time but tonight was only Jess and for the first time we realised that not only is she the hostess but also the chef. The food is delicious as well as beautiful with small touches that lift it into the category with restaurants charging much much more. Tonight we had 2 style of spring rolls both the chicken and prawn as well as the grilled beef and both were delicious beef was my favourite but my partner couldn't decide which she prefered. For mains we had braised mushrooms and tofu in soy sauce was loaded with flavour and umami and salted tiger prawns, 8 large prawns in a delicious tamarind sauce with onion and capsicum, yum. We were both full after this but the deserts looked so good that we couldn't resist so we had banana sago pudding and I couldn't pass up the fried ice cream.
