NeNe Chicken - East Victoria Park

I was so excited when I received an invitation from Wasa Media to attend the little lunch feast for Nene Chicken (pronounced: Ne-Ne / n-n).

I had to change my rating after today's visitThe chicken was not as oily as last time so that's a huge improvement.

Not sure if this new KFC is not my thing as I had great expectations. Got the original and swift but they did not quite get me salivating. Swicy was to sweet and could not notice any kick as with original felt a tad bland. To be fair the chicken was crispy and was not as greasy as the colonel's chicken. Perhaps I need to try another flavor but the black sesame soft server was a hit. Staff were OK, tho the guy that brought out the chicken did not appear to be welcoming with his complete silence and facial expression. Would have expected an explanation of our dishes at the very least. Would try again to see if there was a flavor to kick start the party in my mouth. Otherwise for the soft serve

Fried chicken cooked well, good service and nice interior. Flavours we found the best- Original, Bulgogi and Swicy. Not a big fan of Snowing Veg/Snowing Cheese due to the overpowering taste of flavouring powder. Same goes for the Tornado Potato (spiral); would have enjoyed this more without the snowing flavouring powder. Original soft shell crab wrap is nice; just a little pricey for a wrap with no sides. But, Green Tea & Black Sesame soft serve are a real treat. Even if we're not here for chicken, we're sometimes here for their mixed soft serve.

Average tasting korean fried chicken, had tasted better ones which are more flavorful. don't mind coming back again but wouldn't purposely make a trip here for their fried chicken.
