We stopped in for breakfast and we were very pleasantly surprised. The entire place is really clean and they sure know how to cook. Parking: Ample parking within walking distance. Kid-friendliness: Very spacious and they do have options for kids meals. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a lot of extra room everywhere. I don't recall about the entrance and I didn't go inside of the restrooms.
Beautifully restored building containing a wonderful restaurant and nice boutique.
Delicious hand scooped ice cream. I had a waffle cone and my husband had a root beer float in a real glass mug! Eat your heart out A&W’s! Lol! They just opened 4 days ago and have done a great job renovating the old place and keeping as close to the original 1920’s decor as possible. I’m told there will be a bed and breakfast upstairs as soon as it is complete. Can’t wait to stay there! Service: Dine in

On a positive note, our waitress, Henrietta, was fantastic! She was friendly, welcoming, and served us quickly. The food arrived promptly and was hot. However, Henrietta did face some challenges while checking us out, especially regarding the custom food item, which isn’t part of the regular menu. She needed some assistance, and the woman who helped her—presumably the manager or owner—could have been a bit more tactful. It was clear she was frustrated with Henrietta’s unfamiliarity with the modern computer system, but she shouldn’t have reprimanded her in front of customers. I remember her saying things like, “I’ve shown you this before” and “You can’t let the customer see that you’re having trouble.” It was almost poetic justice when, toward the end of the transaction, this woman accidentally hit the wrong key and had to start the whole process over. Overall, they are a new establishment trying to make a go of it in a historic building, and I genuinely hope they succeed. I’d definitely give them another chance, especially if Henrietta stays on!
