Scrumptious food. Mains are to die for, entrees a little less so. Coconut lime prawns are the standout. Mango chicken is delicious as is the fig and lamb. Banana flower salad is also delicious. Service is good but varies according to the waiter. Wines are chosen to complement the menu and are reasonably priced. This is a big favourite. Wish it were my local. Hard to fault it.
My Favourite. This is my absolute favourite restaurant!! We go there for every birthday dinner, and I am always anticipating the delightful atmosphere and beautiful cuisine. The menu must-haves: banana flower salad, pad siew, pad thai, fish cakes, money bags, fig lamb, mango chicken, and the always perfect spring rolls!
My partner found this hidden gem whilst staying in Carlingford back in 2011, I was living in Dubai at the time but whenever I was back in Oz I would crave 'aussie thai '. After an online search we saw 'It 's Thai ' had good review frm SMH.<br/ <br/ Now we are living on the Central Coast, but when visiting friends in North Rocks I 'll always try to have 'It 's Thai ', even if we just takeaway. (To eat in you 'd have to make a booking, especially on weekends .<br/ <br/ This restaurant is a hidden gem! random (but great Thai restaurant alongside a Chinese Takeaway, Fish n Chips in a small bunch of shops. <br/ <br/ The decor is nice, warm. It 's only downfall is the bottle neck at main counter/kitchen entrance, this is where people picking up their takeaway order stand, this is very close to seated diners (makes you feel uncomfortable the entrance to the kitchen (where the wait staff are trying to do their job . In fact I would suggest they move the 4 seater table that is right in front of the main counter just put a couple of chairs so it becomes a designated waiting area for people picking up their takeaway orders, this would also allow the wait staff clear entry in/out of the to kitchen.<br/ <br/ My favourite dishes are the Pla Choo Chee: Barramundi Fillets slow cooked in a thick red curry, snow peas fresh Thai basil. Banana Flower Salad: Prawns Chicken poached in a coconut milk tossed with fresh banana flowers, kiffir lime, mint lemongrass. And the classic Beef Massaman Curry (the beef just melts... . Another of their famous dishes is the Fig Lamb: Lamb Fillets stir fried with home made chilli jam, sun dried figs cracked black pepper. You will not be disappointed!
Really good for local Thai. Wontons and green chicken curry a must
