Aloo gobi's gravy tasted few days old, puri's dough was very thick, uneven and was filled with oil which we returned back to the kitchen. There was no salt dispenser but was served in a not so clean dipping sauce cup. Even dal makhni was not fresh. Highly disappointed with the experience at Chatpatay.Update : Thinking to call in for food inspection, my daughter and mom felt sick after coming back home from this place.
Owner has changed, looked like it's a Pakistani eatery now. North Indian and Pakistani food are somewhat similar. However the Shahi paneer was just having ginger taste and so watery with typical orange sauce. The Dal was good. For the price it is not value for money.
This is my favorite go to spot for my favorite butter chicken. I honestly only order here and my meal is consistently the same top quality. I’ve also had delicious paneer and the lamb curry. I’ve done in as well and the service was the same with polite people.
Ashamed to say i have not had indian food in Charlotte for the past 7 years. After a long day of driving i decided to get take out from chatpatay. Staff was very friendly and patient while i decided what to order. After about w 15 minute wait and another 15 minute drive got home and food was still hot. The chicken korma curry was delicious. Chicken tender and had nice spice and flavor. Rice cooked well and the garlic naan was also soft and flavorful. I intend on trying more indian places in town but this place is definitely worth a return visit. Parking: Plenty of parking
Very tasty and very fast on getting food. I prefer a little more spice where I came from KY the heat levels are 1-5 and I would get a 4. I’d recommend this place and we will be back.BMW Guy
