Went again today for the like 10th time.Tried the beef cheek and mash, pork belly pizza and truffle chips. Also accompanied by my fave beer to date, the '54 '....ahhhmazing everything!!
Had booked for a late lunch after a visit to the Peninsula Hot Springs. We arrived about an hour early and tried our luck getting an earlier seating. The young staff at the front were really friendly and were more than accommodating getting us a table. We chose a bench table outside in the stables area which is a really awesome area, very inviting and relaxed. Ordering was easy and food selection was impressive. They were busy but our food arrived in good time and was delicious! The beer selection is impressive unfortunately as i was driving i was limited to just one pot of the delicious IPA. Got a mixed 6 pack and a couple of other 4 packs to take home. Beer prices are very reasonable for craft beer. Yet to tuck into these beers but will undoubtedly enjoy them! Would 100% recommend St Andrews and I will be back!
After a day at the beach, we visited this brewery for cold beers and food. We didn't have a booking, but they were more than happy to seat us. What a great place for a drink! It had ample parking, an attractive, large outdoor space, live music, and cold beer on tap. We had the beer tasting paddle and our favourites were the pilsner and the pale ale. The lager was also good. For food, we had the prosciutto pizza, which was a bit overdone and lacking in cheese, although the balsamic sauce made the dish. Their serving of fish and chips was gratifyingly large; unfortunately, the fish itself didn't taste fresh and the side salad only had leaves and nothing else, which was a bit of a disappointment. Likely the best of the lot, the southern fried chicken burger was delicious, crispy and filling. Service was quick, albeit abrupt for a busy day as it was New Year's Eve. In all, a pretty satisfactory experience, marred only by a few missing, but key details in the food, and staff at the counter who didn't seem to be enjoying their day (which is fair enough during COVID times and a particularly hot day). I'm hoping for improved food in the future, and happier people at the till, but understandably, it's been a tough year. Despite all that, the brewery still delivered on a good, safe experience for our group and we'll be back for sure!
The brewery’s setting was awesome. The food was nice, well priced and came out promptly. Our experience with staff was hit and miss. Friendly upon arrival by the two Security Guards who were COVID checking diligently, and the waitress that explained the seating and ordering process, but lacking from the two staff members that took our food and drink orders. As we were leaving, was nice to be bid fare well by the two friendly Security Guards. Worth checking out for the food and relaxed setting.
