Too busy, wrong menu shows a real leave down; we did not stay to eat. the personal was busy and clearly under pressure and the menu was not available attractive in the opposite to the menu on the table that was not available.
They dont have tapas, stay away from this resturant, all we ordered was bad. So many good places to eat in Madeira.
The Tapas Bar used to be an Irish Bar and the change over is a welcome addition to Funchal. On our first visit we enjoyed the tapas and paella and no doubt through time it will grow in popularity. Staff are excellent and Bar has...incredible capacity. We ate early in the evening and it was quiet. The quality of food and choice was excellent although the paella was not up there with the best I have experienced. In value terms the restaurant scored well and the addition of a Tapas Bar at our end of the town will be popular with the visitors. Our first visit was very good and we shall go back. Location and number of tables available are a major plus. A Tapas meal rarely disappoints. The live music added that special Spanish touch.
We went as part of a dine around package at Vidamar. Pleasant enough evening and service was quite speedy. The starters and tapas were good. We had meatballs, tuna, and beef. The paella was not good ... find the fish/meat. The puds were also poor....Did not go for the sangria but had a nice bottle of house red, reasonably priced. The best reason to go is for the Fado and musicians.
