The atmosphere was very peaceful, but because there was only one person in the kitchen, the food took some time to prepare. It would have been better if they had served each dish as soon as it was ready.
The food was unreal! Cocktails strong and plentiful! Had the katsu curry and mixed meat udon and both were better than a famous restaurant that sells them. The service was great, lovely waitress by the name Barkha.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. My group was one of only two tables there during lunchtime. I ordered the Ramen with an additional £2 charge for tonkatsu and £1 charge for a soft boiled egg. Unfortunately, it took over 40 minutes for the dish to come out, and when it did, the noodles were soaked in broth, the egg was overcooked, and the tonkatsu was dry. I took a picture of the ramen as the waiter was collecting it and informed him of my dissatisfaction, but did not request anything else. As someone who used to work in restaurants, I understand that everybody has off days. However, what really disappointed me was that the management never came to our table to apologize, even though we were one of only two tables in the restaurant. This lack of attention to customer service is why I can only give this restaurant a 1-star rating. If you're looking for sushi in Paisley, I would recommend going to Okome instead.
I really enjoyed the chicken katsu curry at this restaurant. I just wish the portion of curry sauce was a bit bigger because I like to have plenty to drizzle over my chicken and rice. The curry sauce was very tasty and the spicy sauce added a nice kick as well. I also liked the container that the chicken and rice came in, as it saved me from having to use a plate and was very sturdy. My friend would have preferred the katsu curry sauce to be separate with korroke instead of drizzled on, but they still enjoyed the fries and chicken tempura. The temaki was also quite nice, although we noticed that the soy sauce sachet was not in date so we didn't use it. Despite that, we still enjoyed our meal. I would also recommend trying the pumpkin katsu bento box.
Small and cozy restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Staff made us feel very welcome and were so attentive which made for a delightful experience. The food is absolutely amazing, 10/10 and reasonably priced! We ordered veggie ramen with gluten free noodles and added tofu, spicy tuna roll, veggie sushi platter and a pot of gluten free teriyaki sauce. There was so much ramen left over and our waiter offered to box it up so we had plenty to take home too! I don’t have a single complaint about my experience here.
