Morphett Arms Hotel - GLENGOWRIE

Above says it all the bar and restaurant full of locals that says everything to me. The reception staff very helpful as well as the serving staff in the bars and the room cleaner great fun security very friendly and helpful.

We booked a table for 3 and when we arrived it was set for 4, they sat us down but did not remove the extra setting. We ordered two drinks and table water, the table water never arrived so I went to the bar and collected someWe placed our orders but two whiting and prawns arrived without the prawnsThe salad bar was not bad and after we had finished our meals a plate of prawns was deliveredAt the end of our lunch not one plate or glass had been removed from the table and we were never asked again if we would like more drink, deserts or coffee while we sat there one girl was trying to look busy by wiping down tables but did not even look our wayWe emailed them that day and after a week received a call from the manager who appreciated the feed back and said he was disappointed with his staff and would post us a voucher. We informed him that we had not complained to try a get a free meal and we did not require the voucher, but he insisted on sending us one....that was 2 months ago!

A group of came here for lunch after a long interval. We were amazed at the extent of the renovations that had taken place. The meals were delicious and the warm and efficient service rendered by David , Kayley and Lisa was greatly appreciated. All agreed that we will return sooner rather than later!

Went for lunch with two mates, hotel has been done up but doesn't look finished.Really odd smell in the bar,like a pipe/sewer was blocked so sat outside.Otrdered burgers, presented well, but meat was raw so they all went back.They gave us a round of drinks, and didn't question making New burgersTook a long time to get the first burger, longer for second, I didn't finish mine left half...$21 for what it was is pricyI won't be going back to eat will give it a wide berth for a while there are better pubs around..

We dined here with our parents on Easter Monday and therefore were not able to use our Entertainment Book voucher. However Seniors discount of $2 each was available. As we entered the service was excellent with a waitress telling us where our table was. At the entrance is the ordering counter and the tables are some distance away. There were no menus at the table but when we asked they were given to us. The full menu and specials were on boards at the front entrance. As Pa is 92 years old and frail it was impossible for him to return there to order and we had to go back and forward with the meal ideas. This is a very poor set up (a board should at least be on the wall in the dining area). My husbands beef schnitzel was enormous, tender and delicious ($20). My chicken cordon bleu and Ma's was delicious ($22.50). Pa was reasonably happy with his curried prawns. I was disappointed with the salad bar. I will not rush back to this venue as there are many other great hotels offering similar food that have table service and better environments.
