Maybe never stay here again if we don't need the convenientness to stay in the city. extremely overpriced?
The hotel is a 15-minute drive to the airport and located right downtown. There are tons of restaurants and many little stories in the charming town of Grand Junction. The staff was kind and even let us check-in early since we were Bonvoy members. The room was clean and had semi room separation for guests staying on the pullout couch. The couch had a bed that rolls out and the couch could also be used as a bed as well. The room was clean as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable as were the linens. The bathroom was a little funky in which it had one small room with a toilet and sink and a separate room with a modern shower and vanity.Other Amenities Free WIFI- Indoor pool and spa- Fitness Room- Laundry room- Pullout couch- Hot breakfast (Eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal and cereals)All amenities were open during my stay with no restrictions. The hotel encouraged social distancing and has an optional mask policy for fully vaccinated guests and required a mask for unvaccinated guests.
A very beautiful property on a perfect location to explore the historic city of grand junction. highly recommended!
We always stay with marriott because we feel that we know what we get for our buck and we can trust them. the other main reason is the breakfast. we often come as a little short holiday after grand junction and enjoy the hikes. we were already in the jumphill and had good stays. not sure what is changed, but her breakfast is moderate. they keep saying that it is due to COVID concerns and security measures, but at this point I think it is simply greedy. they removed the waffel maker and the microwave from the buffet. they have no hot food, except for some disgusting “breakfast sandwiches.” if you can even call it that. no more granola bars or fruit. the heifer flakes are coarse, too muddy and the walnuts also tasted old. that's a lot to eat. toast, bagels, waffeln, which come in plastic bags and heat up in the microwave. that is their hot option and the disgusting breakfast sandwich. I'm very disappointed. the room was good. it was clean and spacious. the beds were comfortable and we slept well. I give this place a three stars because of the moderate breakfast.
Beautiful hotel. Great location. One of the best hotel breakfasts I've had (at least when they have the potato, sausage, and pepper stuff, but the scrambled eggs are pretty ok, too).Walls are paper thin, and the fitness center is one of the worst I've seen. Some of the dumbbells are literally coming apart, and there are missing weights from the set. Everything else is cardio equipment. They do have complimentary passes to a nearby gym, but I didn't discover that until I saw the sign on wall in the hotel gym. By that time I was already in the middle of a workout.
