Our club hosted their annual general meeting at this restaurant, where they also provided the food. The roast meal was tasty and the dessert was enjoyable. The venue is a historic hotel currently undergoing restoration, with many period features and antique decorations in the rooms and dining area. The restroom facilities were a bit basic and the chairs were too low for the tables, but overall, everyone had a great time.
Rodney and April are approachable and lovely people. They have done what always ought to have been done in Western Australia - simple menu, pre-cooked, great every time. My burger was one of the best I've had anywhere. My daughter's spaghetti she rated excellent. Prices are very reasonable. Go! Suggestions? Maybe stock some cheese for a cheeseboard, get some chunkier German-style cheesecake, and more than one choice of local Shiraz by the glass, please. Small quibbles, we'll definitely be back. Hurrah for Greenhills, a decent local pub at last. At last!
This older hotel is in need of some tender loving care and is located approximately a 1.5-hour drive from Perth, accessible via York or Beverly.
