The Imperial Homestead - York

This is a lovely pub with a fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. It offers the charming comforts typical of a small town, along with an excellent outdoor area. If you're in the mood for steak, I highly recommend it—I've never been disappointed by the chef!

Charming historic building full of character. The staff are friendly, and the local wines are reasonably priced. There's a lovely outdoor area with ample shade. While the Thai beef salad was a bit tough, the rest of the dishes were excellent.

I visited for a day trip and ended up staying for dinner with friends. The restaurant was impressive. The menu offered a wide variety, and the chef was flexible, accommodating our requests for some modifications without any hassle. The service was excellent, and we found it to be very affordable.

Eight of us visited York on Saturday, November 12th, to enjoy performances by three big bands in the courtyard. It turned out to be a fantastic evening, and we savored a wonderful meal that was not only delicious but also exceptional! The staff was incredibly friendly, and we're already looking forward to coming back. Overall, I give it a rating of 5/5 for the atmosphere, service, and location!

Today traveled with a friend to york and stopped for lunch. the outer is amazing and the great veranda is what fires us to go there. our first thought to look at the menu were the prices. much more than expected. we ordered the chicken parmi and the fish and chips. large portion sizes and the fish perfectly cooked. the huh was also quite big, but so thick, too thick, actually, and had a strange texture. it was dry and not excessively aromatic. a thinner parmi would allow definitiw to get more taste with the toppings. overall, it is on the higher end price wise for pub food that does not really taste. we wouldn't go back there.
