Don't judge a book by its cover. Delicious food value for money we always eat more than we need but its just so dam yummy.
Stopped in twice for dinner during the National Skydiving championships. First time (late dinner) the place was packed but the food kept coming and was of a great standard and the staff member on the floor was a little stressed. Second time we went early. The food was of equal quality but the staff were more relaxed. The busy time was to come later that evening. Would recommend this place for a good meal in York
We were in York for the night in early January and found this place by chance. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The serving sizes were very generous. We shared a special fried rice (plenty for two people). We each ordered a meat dish - both were very tasty. Meals were served quickly although we weren't the only ones eating there and people coming in for takeaway too.
Went in to order (after checking out menu outside) but was told that to eat in was more expensive. $19.50 for chicken and vegetables and $8 for a small soup at a chinese restaurant is expensive. Also listening to a few phone orders whilst we were waiting to order - "sorry we have run out of that" - went down the road to the pub to eat
