This restaurant in Guildford is a hidden gem. The salted caramel fudge is absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately, this restaurant was burned down on the evening of a holy day by an arsonist (likely targeting the neighbouring establishment). It was a very sad and frightening incident. Unfortunately, Travel Advisor was not updated about this, so I am leaving this review to warn others not to come all the way to the city for food and end up disappointed. I hope the restaurant can reopen soon.
The place has grown over the years of a small eating in the front to a series of different rooms and rests on the back and the flow. Despite a warm day, the open against and beside the river. shades, held the opposite cool. we ordered great breakfast and they arrived in a short time and was hot. that was unimaginable that the place was busy shortly before Christmas. there are two things that intoxicate me, is coffee that comes cold or in small cups when they order a cup, and large pieces of breakfast that are in fact small and cold. well, it was christmas but everything was wonderful, arrived in a reasonable time, the loads of food hot and tasteful. coffee was a real tasty bite and I took my time to enjoy. the waiter was around, but not intrusive, which allowed us to talk, the sights and eat without enjoying haste.
Large small deli in the heart of guildfords bustling caffe, historical strip. good selection of cold meat and cheese. loads of large local products (e.g. jam, chocolate). highly recommended!
