Always a tasty meal. The beer is fresh and there is always a wide selection. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Been back a couple of times since my initial review. And I enjoyed the food better each time.
Came here as it was a quick walk from our hotel for the night. Service was solid. To eat they had a soft shell crab sandwich special, as it was a Friday during Lent which was solid. Beer-wise nothing spectacular, but nothing terrible either. My favorite brew was the German Rye Bob. Enjoyed our visit here, but not a place I'd go out of my way to return.
First time here food was pretty good. Beer was excellent. Service was not so good. Not friendly. Not personable. And they rushed us out. Won't be back.
Me and my girlfriends often frequent this place to catch up with life, and we attended an event there last night and needless to say we were appalled when we left and I 'm not sure if we will be returning. First off the trivia host clearly states the rules and somehow the rules didn 't apply to a particular table who ended up when winning the trivia. Several people from different tables called attention to the table of people who didn 't need to follow the rules apparently. There weas a table full of young men who in the middle of the game told tghe host that this particular table were cheating using the phone, not to mention they had more people then allowed for the team. At the end of trivia another table asked why their paper wasn 't tallied correctly (that should be done before declaring a winner )and also that the table they declared the winners were using there phones and had more players than the rules stated. The host responded to them and said I was made aware they were using the phone and the owners said they could have more players on their team, they OK 'd it ...okay, so you were told before the game ended about the phone and they still somehow won?! Anyway, in the midst of this table talking to the hosts about it, players at the table that cheated interjected themselves into that conversation, causing words to start going back and forth. The table with the cheating players(it really was just the girls at the table that were the issue) initiated the escalation of the incident and were the ones that started that. However the table that was talking to host and clearly saying what every other table was thinking, were treated as the aggressors by the staff of Byway. The staff even allowed a customer from the other part of the brewery to come in and try to walk up to the male from the table that didn 't start the incident and try to intimidate him, not to mention they were already leaving. That random patron of brewery was then able to go back to the part he came from and the table that were not the trouble makers in all this were being escorted out as the aggressors. They were leaving anyway, but were treated like they were the problem. Now this next part is really hard for me to write because I have been blessed enough to never witness something like this, but I truly think that the table who were not in the wrong were being treated like they were because of their race. I felt so bad for that man, shame on you byway! I wish there was a way you could of made it right, that was horrible! I 'm glad some of us were able to tell these poor people that they weren 't wrong, because they weren 't.The last thing I want to say is that we all saw that table cheating. A different table reported the phone in the middle of the game..it was blatant. The table who were made out to be the aggressors, were just the ones who spoke out about it to the host, they were asking him what we were all thinking. Why make it a public event, if it 's going to be fixed for your friends or people you know?? We all saw it and we all knew who the real aggressors and problem people were. Do better Byway, that was not good!
