Bandera Coffee Co. - Harlingen

This is the perfect place for specialty coffee! My favorite drink here is the Tormenta—it's absolutely delicious and unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the baristas have always been incredibly friendly during my visits. As someone from San Antonio, I really appreciate the local branding (like the 956 cups) as a native of the valley. It definitely makes me want to return! Everything is so charming!

We stopped by this restaurant while heading to South Padre Island and were pleasantly surprised by the fantastic iced coffee. I really liked that they serve it in glassware instead of disposable cups and straws—it's more eco-friendly, healthier, and simply tastes better! They also have a lovely dog-friendly patio in the back, which is a great addition.

I spent Easter weekend in the Valley visiting family and decided to try out a local café—and I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the coffee and the ambiance!

Cozy coffee shop with low key vibes and friendly baristas. Nice wide open seating area with plenty of tables to sit at, plus a back area with more sitting. Nice decorations and an easy to read menu. Got an oat milk latte, didn’t specify whether I wanted hot or iced, and they gave me iced, which is okay because it was made really well and I’m sure people rarely get hot drinks when it’s so hot out. Overall a great coffee shop experience.

Great hidden gem. The service, coffee and pastries were excellent. Highly recommend.
