El Charro -south Main - Harrisonburg

My family and I have been visiting this restaurant for decades; it holds a special place in our hearts in Harrisonburg. We come here for various occasions—lunch, dinner, dining in, and even placing large takeout orders for parties. The food is outstanding—well-seasoned, delicious, and fresh. Their drinks are fantastic as well. The menu features a wide variety of food and drink options. I highly recommend it if you're visiting Harrisonburg. Most locals are quite familiar with El Charro. However, I feel that the customer service at this location can be inconsistent—it can be either excellent or lacking.

We went after with a group ranging in age from 5 to 80 yrs. Wonderful food, we all ordered different meals and we enjoyed our lunch. We sat at a spacious table for ten and talked about wedding flowers and told stories. The waiter was attentive, served us chips and salsa immediately, and kept our drinks filled. Absolutely excellent! This restaurant is nice, clean, and spacious, featuring fresh food and friendly service. We absolutely loved the chicken quesadilla and the taquitos we ordered. The chorizo and egg dish was also amazing! A Jarritos soda completed our meal perfectly. It was an enjoyable dinner for my wife and me!

The fish tacos here are far superior to those I've tried at any Mexican restaurant. Don't forget to request some fresh lime to squeeze on them! Everything I've eaten at this place has been absolutely delicious, and the service is excellent as well.

I absolutely love this restaurant! I go all the time for dinner, lunch with friends, quick lunch before work, you name it and they are perfect for it! Everybody there is super nice and the food is incredible as well as the prices!!!!! I wish i could give it more than 5 stars!
