Wow, super nice service Food is authentic, veggies are fresh Beautiful Very nice experience! In this part of our country A+ Mexican restaurant Great job!

Stopped here with friends to recharge after the drive to Hays and we found a welcoming space with friendly staff, good (and by our standards very affordable) margaritas, cold beer and good food. Hopefully we'll have time to stop by again before we leave town.

Lot's of places to eat in Hayes, we like Mexican, so we went to Gutierrez Mexican Restaurant. It was getting near closing on a Thursday night, but we got seated right away and they took our orders. Lots of atmosphere, but a bit dark. That 32 oz lime Margarita was so good. We got served after a bit. My wife order the Chicken quesadilla and I ordered the Sancho Grande. The chips and dip were excellent. The Sancho Grande seemed to be a seasoned beef filled burrito smothered with red chile w/beef. Yes! PINTOS beans. Who likes black beans. The beef chile was almost hot enough, but very well seasoned and flavorful.

We stopped here on our way to Colorado and found a family friendly place serving delicious food. Staff was wonderful and so was everything we ordered. Can easily see why it is so popular with the locals. We would highly recommend stopping here!

Very busy, especially on Friday afternoon with a waiting list. Limited parking in the parking lot for the high number of guests. This is a local favorite. Ask for the hot sauce, which is a green salsa. Chips are thin and crispy. Nice, fresh flavor. The decor is nice. Roomy with multiple dining rooms. Bar area with space to eat at the bar. Black beans, refried beans, garlic mashed potatoes are all superb.
