The food is good, but be ready to spend more than you'd expect on hot dogs. The wait can also be quite long at times, even when there aren't many cars around.

The all-beef hot dogs were small and lacked the satisfying snap I enjoy when biting into a quality hot dog. However, the toppings were quite good.

I'm new to the area and have been asking around for the best dining spots. Dawg Pound was highly recommended as the top place for hot dogs, which happen to be my favorite! The locals really know their stuff! The Chicago dog was absolutely phenomenal! The locally made bun was incredibly fresh and soft, making the hot dog even better. The toppings were not only fresh but also bursting with flavor, complementing the tasty hot dog perfectly. The sprinkle of celery salt on top was just amazing! The service was exceptional as well; the waitress was really friendly and made my first visit a memorable one. I wholeheartedly recommend Dawg Pound. I have went here a lot was going 2 to 3 times a week until today I will not be back I was eating and noticed MOLD on my sandwich bun and my passengers also found mold on their sandwiches as well I think with 5 sandwiches with mold on the buns it should betaken back and we took it back up there and the very rude cook came out seen it and started complaining and yell about how hedidn?t know how it would of got there they were fresh buns and proceeded to tell me not to come up there saying that it?s notgood for business and to leave I wouldn?t even give it 1 star if I could after this experience

The BBQ sandwich buns where filled with mold spurs, and when I went to talk to management about the situation I was blown off and was told to leave. They did not care about the health and safety of there consumers. Instead of fixing the situation they got hostile. I will not be returning back to that establishment. If I could give less stars I would.
