Thanks for a great dining experience St. Michael. We were there on a busy Sat night and ordered from the a-la-carte menu. For entree, we shared a Kangaroo Carpaccio and it was unique. For our mains we had the Dorper lamb & the Beef Ribs & Shank. Both dishes were amazing. Portions were not big but the meats were tender and not overcooked(i dont like any red meat over a medium), smoky flavours were evident in both dishes, my jus was nice, dishes were well balanced & the use of elements such as buckwheat for texture kept things interesting, thanks to executive chef Adam Sayles. Service was good, our waiter was fairly knowledgeable. It was quite an intimate setting. A bigger selection of wine on the menu wouldn't go astray though. We couldn't stay for a long dinner on this occasion but we're very keen to come back to try the degustation menu. Thank you St. Michael, we shall see you again soon.

Excellent food, well balanced menu, good wine selection, impeccable service with detailed descriptions of the dish. We enjoyed seeing carrots cooked in so many ways. The meat was some of the most tender I've had.

Pleasant evening but St Michael 6003 didn't give us that wow factor we were expecting. Yes agreed the ambience is nice, staff efficient and food portions appropriate however the taste and flavour were missing from the food combinations. We chose the three course option which is good value however when we dine out we look for that food experience which is going to give us that pleasant surprise. The food combinations worked well however for instance the dorper lamb didn't have the full flavour I was expecting and was over cooked. The desserts really lacked in taste particularly the chocolate dish the cage portions were dry and certainly didn't melt in ones mouth. It is a shame given the extremely high ratings - we were expecting more.
